Murat Ayfer
Murat Ayfer, the designer and programmer of fenerbahceworldwide.org is a native of Ankara, Turkey, and is currently studying computer engineering in Vancouver, Canada.
Murat was born in Ankara, Turkey in year 1988. He lived in Ankara for most of his life, until he moved to Vancouver, Canada for his university education. Murat started to become interested in football during his elementary school years, while playing it in his neighborhood with friends, which also is the time when he started supporting Fenerbahce.
Born into a family of computer engineers, Murat developed an immense interest in computers and programming throughout his life, which turned into his college degree of choice. Although he has been involved with the Linux operating system for a long time, his first serious programming experience came in when he worked for Bilkent University in Turkey during the summer of 2007. Although he started working as an intern, he quickly taught himself web development, and got offered a job. Gaining confidence in website making abilities, he made a book exchange website, www.ubcbook.com for his school, University of British Columbia. After making ubcbook.com, he became interested in the visual aspects of web designing as much as the technical side. Özgür Nazilli, who attends the same university as Murat, saw ubcbook.com, and thought Murat would be a good choice as the webmaster of his and Nathan's project in development, fenerbahceworldwide.org. Fenerbahceworldwide.org is Murat's third website.
