Since coming to Fenerbahce from Genclerbirligi, Deniz Baris has earned a reputation for being a player capable of playing many positions on the field. Often used in both defense and the midfield, the 30-year-old Turkish native also played in Germany before coming to Turkiye.
With Genclerbirligi, he led a successful UEFA Cup campaign with big wins over Blackburn and Sporting Lisbon. When he joined Fenerbahce in 2004, it was a record transfer fee for the Ankara team. His play at Fenerbahce also earned him a spot on the Turkish National Team, where he has earned 21 caps.
