Semih Senturk is quickly developing a reputation as one of the most underrated and rising stars in Turk futbol. The striker, who earned the nickname “Young Semih” as a youth player, has seen significant action for Fenerbahce over the last year. In addition to being a valuable commodity in the Turkcell Super Lig, some of Semih’s biggest goals have coming against European competition. His late-game bicycle kick in December 2006 to draw even with Eintracht Frankfurt and advance Fenerbahce in the UEFA Cup is already considered one of the most impressive goals in club history.

The native of Izmir, Turkiye has played nearly his entire career at Fenerbahce, other than a brief loan appearance at Izmirspor in 2001. Since becoming a member of the Fenerbahce senior team, he has averaged nearly one goal for every two appearances. The average is more remarkable considering many of his appearances have come off the bench with little time remaining. His play at the forward position has also helped him earn two caps for the Turkish National Team.
