Volkan Babacan is the third goalkeeper on the Fenerbahce roster. Despite playing behind Serdar Kulbilge and Volkan Demirel, Babacan has seen game action this season more than once.
The 19-year-old started with the Fenerbahce youth team in 2002. Other than a short stint on loan at Istanbulspor, he has played his entire career in Kadikoy. Babacan earned a name for himself in the U-17 World Cup in 2005 for Turkiye. With Volkan, the team made it to the semi-finals before losing to Brazil. The Antalya native is considered a young, promising goalkeeper for the future of Fenerbahce.
