The Yellow Canaries continue their pre-season preparations in joyful fashion. Fenerbahçe defensive midfielder Deniz Barış was given a miniature championship trophy as he celebrated his 32nd birthday at the start of Thursday morning's training session. In the meantime, Brazilian attacking midfielder Deivid de Souza reported back at Samandıra and had his first practice of the season.

Fenerbahçe resumed their pre-season practice with a training session on Thursday morning. Today's practice at the Samandıra Training Facilities began at 10:00 AM with a joyful birthday celebration.

German coach Christoph Daum surprised the players in the squad as he gave defensive midfielder Deniz Barış a miniature championship trophy for his 32nd birthday. The whole squad cheered and applauded Deniz Barış as he lifted his "birthday trophy" in the air!

It was announced that this would be some sort of a ritual to be done for each player's birthday. We, as Fenerbahçe Worldwide, also wish Deniz Barış a happy birthday and a successful season!

Thursday's training session then kicked off with warm-up drills conducted by Roland Koch and continued with coordination drills on the lower pitch. The training session then ended with a scrimmage match focused on controlled passes. 

Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Deivid de Souza reported back at Samandıra as he kicked-off his pre-season training on Thursday morning. After having a short one-on-one chat with coach Christoph Daum, Deivid jogged lightly around the pitch with personal trainer Dolu Arslan.

Fenerbahçe were to conduct a second training session in the afternoon. On another note, it was also announced that there would be a signing ceremony for Fabio Bilica at Samandıra, tomorrow at 13:00 (1 PM).
