The Fenerbahçe administration is rumoured to plan fining captain Alexsandro de Souza for unauthorized tardiness. A change in the pre-season training schedule was addressed to the Yellow Canaries squad and most of the foreign players have already reported back in Istanbul accordingly, but Alex has preferred not to make any change in his travel plans. Meanwhile, there are also rumours that Spanish striker Dani Güiza will not be taking part in the pre-season camp in Germany.

According to rumours in the Turkish press, the Fener management may fine team captain Alex de Souza for his unauthorized tardiness. The coaching staff made a change of plans in the pre-season training schedule. Despite previously reporting to the players that pre-season preparations would begin on July 6th, the coaching staff moved the schedule one week ahead to June 29th.

Fenerbahçe indeed began their pre-season preparations this week and Brazilian players Roberto Carlos and Deivid de Souza have reported back in Istanbul. Injured Edu Dracena is already out for a couple of months and his partner in defence Diego Lugano is out of contract and considering his options.

Sportive Director Aykut Kocaman was recently asked about captain Alex de Souza and Dani Güiza's tardiness. "As you know, Güiza played a match on the 28th of June. (Confederations Cup Third Place match) So he played football, after almost one month of vacation for the rest of his team mates. His request for permission is very natural," Kocaman said on Friday.

Kocaman stated that the club administration had granted Güiza's request and had given him a schedule to abide by. The Spanish striker is expected to join his team-mates in the pre-season camp in Germany, that begins on July 14th.

"I have nothing to say for Alex. I believe that a team captain should be here on time," commented the Sportive Director. Despite the arrivals of countrymen Roberto Carlos and Deivid de Souza, Alex is reported to have said he will not make any change in his travel plans.

Reports in Hürriyet, NTVSpor and Lig TV state that the club administration is planning to fine team captain Alex de Souza for his unauthorized tardiness. Reports also claim that Spanish striker Dani Güiza is planning to skip the pre-season camp in Germany.

Güiza has already requested an extra week off, which Aykut Kocaman announced that the club administration refused. "We expect him to join his team-mates at the start of the camp in Germany," Kocaman said. If Dani Güiza delays his arrival to the pre-season camp, reports estimate that he too will be facing a fine from the club administration.

Meanwhile, Spanish newspaper Marca wrote that Dani Güiza is expecting to be transferred to Atlético Madrid. Premiership giants Manchester United are reported to have offered €46 million for Atlético's Argentine goalscorer Sergio Agüero and that the club supporters want Fenerbahçe striker Dani Güiza as a replacement. 

Güiza had recently said, "How can I say no to Atlético Madrid?" and is rumoured to be planning to skip Fenerbahçe's pre-season camp in Germany and wait for his transfer to La Liga side Atlético Madrid.
