Özer Hurmacı Back on the Training Ground in One Week

One of Fenerbahçe's summer signings, Özer Hurmacı had to undergo surgery right after his official signing ceremony two weeks ago. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder was at the Acıbadem Hospital on Sunday and rejected rumours in the press claiming he would be out of action for at least three months. Özer revealed that he would be throwing away his crutches and would start training in one week, as previously announced.

The Yellow Canaries were at the Acıbadem Hospital on Sunday morning to undergo medical tests, prior to the start of the new season. Just like the players in the squad, coach Christoph Daum and sportive director Aykut Kocaman also underwent medicals.

It was announced that Alex de Souza, Dani Güiza and Mert Günok would all be examined upon their arrival to Istanbul. Meanwhile, Uğur Boral is expected to complete his medical test after he recovers from his throat infection.

In the meantime, Özer Hurmacı who had surgery straight after his signing ceremony two weeks ago was also at the hospital on Sunday. It was previously stated that Özer would begin training three or four weeks after his surgery. However, reports in the Turkish press had claimed that the 22-year-old would be out of action for at least three months.

Özer was at the Acıbadem Hospital on Sunday and rejected the rumours in the press. "I will throw away my crutches and begin training in one week," said Özer Hurmacı. "I had my last examination and even if I don't start training with my team-mates, I will be back on the training ground for strengthening drills," explained Özer.

"If I hadn't had this small operation, I could have had the same foot injury in the future. It's not true that I'm out for the first half of the season and it's not true that I'm going to undergo surgery once again. I've already begun strengthening drills inside the facilities," revealed Özer Hurmacı.

The Yellow Canaries will continue their pre-season preparations with a triple training session on Monday.

Carlos....Why are you such a hater? You cant judge before the oppertunity is given. I love Christiano's game too but dam...give the man a chance before you cut him off.
Rapaz_Brasileiro • 10:07 • July 6, 2009
lol, saying that he'll never be that good as Ronaldo is not cutting him off. Ozer is a great player and he'll be better but he'll never become as good as Ronaldo..
