Fenerbahçe manager Christoph Daum spoke to the press after his team's 1-0 win over FC Twente in the UEFA Europa League on Wednesday night. "We played a really good 95 minutes and deserved to win the game," commented Daum. The German coach also stated that his side had attained their second target of the season, by qualifying through to the next round of the competition as group leaders.
Yellow Canaries boss Christoph Daum spoke to reporters after his side's Europa League win over Dutch side FC Twente on Wednesday night. Daum began his words by stating that both sides had found many chances on goal and commented that it was a very exciting game.
The German coach then said that Fenerbahçe could have found a second goal near the end of the match, when Twente went out on counter-attacks. "But in my opinion, 1-0 is a good result. We couldn't make it 2-0 or 3-0, because Twente fought very well," explained Christoph Daum.
"Twente fought well and they made it very difficult for us," the Fener boss continued. "However, we played a really good 95 minutes and we deserved to win the game," commented Daum.
Daum then revealed that Fenerbahçe had now attained their second target of the season. "Our first target was to win the Turkish Super Cup. We did that by beating Beşiktaş," he said. "Our second target was to finish this group as leaders, and we did that too," explained Daum.
The German coach then congratulated Twente and wished them the best of luck. "They deserve it," said Daum. "We played twice, they won one game and we won the other," he continued. The Fener boss also thanked the Dutch side for a warm welcome. "We saw some good football and we also made good friends," he added.
Christoph Daum also commented about Dani Güiza's reactions while he was being substituted off the pitch. The Fener manager said that he would talk this through with Güiza. "It's normal for him to get upset. No player would want to be taken off, but every player's reaction would be different," said Daum. "However, he should have been more respectful towards his teammate who was entering the game," he added.
Lastly, he also spoke about the friction between Semih Şentürk and Cristian Baroni. "Of course, I do not approve, but it goes to show that my players have enough energy and time," said Daum. "This proves that they have good match condition," he added. Daum ended his words by commenting that Selçuk had played well in tonight's game, filling in well for Emre Belözoğlu.

Can someone please enlighten me as to what the "friction" is between Semih and Christian??
