What Awaits Fenerbahçe In Europa League Round of 32?

With one game week to go in the Europa League group stage, the Yellow Canaries have already clinched the top spot in Group H. Fenerbahçe have thus guaranteed group leadership and won't be facing tough opponents from the Champions League in the next round. Things are also starting to fall into place in the other Europa League groups, so here is a quick overview of Fenerbahçe's possible opponents in the Round of 32.
The regulations of the UEFA Europa League sets certain rules that govern the draw for the Round of 32. Fenerbahçe will certainly not be drawn with other teams from Turkey, nor with other qualified teams from Group H. Additionally, as the Yellow Canaries have guaranteed to finish as Group H leaders, being drawn with third-placed teams from the Champions League or being drawn with other Europa League group winners is also out of the question.
In other words, Fenerbahçe will not be able to play against Beşiktaş or Galatasaray yet. Nor will they have to face top European sides coming into the competition as third-placed teams in the Champions League. Currently Liverpool, Bayern Munich or Juventus, Marseille or Milan, and Internazionale all face the possibility of finishing their Champions League groups in third-place. However, group leadership protects the Yellow Canaries from being drawn with them in the Round of 32.
So, which teams are possible candidates to face Fenerbahçe after the group stage? What's in store for Fenerbahçe in the Europa League Round of 32? Let’s take a closer look at what's going around the competition. Remember, the Yellow Canaries can only be drawn with second-placed or third-placed Europa League teams.
In Group A, it’s still wide open. Ajax, Anderlecht and Dinamo Zagreb can all finish second in the group. Ajax will host Anderlecht in the last match, and both will advance with a draw. This will also secure the runner-up position for Anderlecht. Moving on to Group B, it’s not much clearer. Two points separate Valencia, Lille and Genoa, so they are all potential opponents for Fener at this point.
Hapoel Tel-Aviv and Hamburg have already moved on from Group C. They will face each other in the last fixture; Hamburg will win the group if they avoid defeat. Sporting has already won Group D, but that doesn’t mean their last game is meaningless. Hertha Berlin and Heerenveen are competing for the runner-up position, and they both have home games. Heerenveen face Ventspils at home in the easier match, but they need help from Sporting to advance.
Another open group is Group E. After Wednesday’s results, it appears that Roma, Basel and Fulham can all finish second in the group. Basel and Fulham will face off in Switzerland in their final match, while Roma will win the group if they can beat CSKA in Sofia. Galatasaray won Group F on Thursday night, and Panathinaikos will finish second as long as they don’t lose with more than one goal to Dinamo Bucharest at home in their last match.
A big surprise in Group G, where Red Bull Salzburg has won all of their games in a tough group, against teams like Lazio and Villarreal. Villarreal has also clinched the second place, as they have better results than Lazio in their meetings. Everton will finish second in Group I, no matter what happens in the last round. So Villareal and Everton can be written down as potential opponents for Fenerbahçe.
A single point separates Club Brugge and Toulouse in Group J. The two teams will battle it out for the second place in the group at the Jan Breydel Stadium in Belgium, a match Toulouse will have to win in order to advance from the group.
In Group K, it’s between Sparta Prague and FC København. They are equal on points, but the Danes won the meeting in Copenhagen 1-0 and will advance if they avoid defeat in Prague. In the last group, Group L, Werder Bremen and Athletic Bilbao have already taken the two first spots. Werder seems to win it, as Bilbao will have to beat them by three goals or more at home to slip by them.
So not much is clear for now, but at least we know that Villarreal and Everton are possible opponents for Fenerbahçe in the Round of 32, and we also know for sure that as group winners, the Canaries will play on away ground in the first leg. The final fixtures of the group stage will take place in two weeks, and the draw for the next stage of the competition will take place in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday, 18th of December at 14:00 (2 PM) Turkish time.

we will be like GencFB and Killforyou etc. some of the greatest fans in the world
We'd rip trough everton. They are god damn 16th in the Premier League. Last time we met Everton we beat them 5-0. Villareal ain't all that either.
Marseille, and especially Bayern aren't all that. Liverpool can also be beaten.
But, because we ended up group leaders, we won't meet any of these guys next round.
i just have one day that i have so much work to do that i couldnt not be able to use the computer, i knew uefa cup games were on december 2nd and 3rd just did not know what day it is. like seriously if you guys are not gonna call me fans then what ever.
Polat of course you're a fan
I remember TSanli10 man, you were like the 10th guy to sign up for this site
if you make this big of a deal of it then you must be a huge fan :)
but im chill with one of them, the other one just doesnt get it for some reason.
If Fener can perform to the level that they did when they played against against Gala, they should be finding many of the coming games easy. No one has had such ease in running over Gala as Fener has.
Another thing, i think the Turkish league has overtaken the dutch league and while the Turkish league is with each year becoming richer, the Dutch league is stagnating.
Does PSV, Twente, Feyenoord, AZ have better squads then Gala, Fener or even Besiktas?
How may players in Twente would you swap for Fener or Gala players?
...our soul is pricele$$...
