Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım spoke to reporters in Eskişehir on Saturday night and announced his resignation from his chairman post in the Clubs Union Foundation, stating that from now on he will be fully backing the Yellow Canaries' rights. "We accept that the team is not going well, but we will fix this. Together with our coach and all of our players, we will fix this situation," stated Yıldırım.
After Saturday night's 2-1 loss against Eskişehirspor, Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım made statements to members of the press. Yıldırım announced that he was stepping down from his post as Chairman in the Clubs Union Foundation (Kulüpler Birliği Vakfı) and that he would now be fully backing the Yellow Canaries' rights.
"We accept that the team is not going well, but we will fix this," stated Yıldırım. "We have a top quality squad with very good players, who won eight games in a row," he continued. "From now on, we will be taking the necessary precautions. Together with our coach and all of our players, we will fix this situation," reassured the Fener President.
"Just because I was also the Chairman of the Clubs Union Foundation, it was as if I wasn't being able to protect the rights of Fenerbahçe," explained Yıldırım. "As of tonight, I'm stepping down as Chairman of the Clubs Union Foundation," he announced. "Everyone will see just how Aziz Yıldırım will be backing Fenerbahçe's rights," he stated.
Yıldırım complained about referee mistakes, giving examples of penalties which were not awarded and conceded goals which were offsides. President Yıldırım criticized Turkish referees and commented that they were "out of form". "From now on, every institution will be respectful towards one another, and so will the referees," commented Yıldırım. "They're not only making mistakes towards Fenerbahçe, but to all the teams," he added.
Aziz Yıldırım thanked the Clubs Union Foundation for their belief and trust in him, but announced his resignation as Chairman of the foundation. "As of tonight, I resign from the Clubs Union Foundation," he said. "From now on, there's only Fenerbahçe," added Yıldırım.
INFO NOTE: The Clubs Union Foundation (Kulüpler Birliği Vakfı) is an association composed by the presidents of all the 18 Turkcell Süper Lig clubs. It's an institution where club presidents reunite to discuss and decide upon important issues such as TV rights. Aziz Yıldırım was elected as Chairman of the Clubs Union Foundation in March 2008.

but then i realized it was kulupler birligi
this is a bad move.
-50K+ stadium
-Top facilities
-A transfer budget that rivals the top clubs around the world
-Stable financial system
-World Class players
what good is a transfer budget that rivals top clubs around the world when the only way we can is:
a) overpay them
b) these players are looking to revive their careers (i.e Anelka, Alex, Kezman etc.)
Diego Lugano - he wanted to leave but the other clubs interested in him this season couldn't meet his wage demands. hes definately going to leave after this season because if he performs the way he does at the WC, the big clubs are going to be knocking on his door.
fabio bilica - terrible defender but is looking good because he has diego lugano beside him.
andre santos - has hit bad form but when he is on form is a great on that left hand side.
cristian - definately our transfer of the season, hes a rock in midfield.
mehmet topuz - hasn't impressed and is not worth the €9m we paid for him
bekir - terrible.
ozer - another talent bound to rot at this club
then look at the other transfers:
Anelka - was bouncing around mid-table clubs since top clubs wouldn't take him cos of his constant sulking. we transferred him from man city who was just a mid table club back then and then he moved to bolton and then from there hes at chelsea in which hes performed a great partnership with drogba
kezman - didn't get any playing time at athletico madrid, came to us started off well then went downhill from there
alex - performed well in europe but because of complications in the italian league foreign rule he moved to brazil. decided to give europe another chance and came to us - now is a legend.
josico - useless transfer because we couldn't get senna
deivid - was regarded a talent when he was in santos and performed a partnership with robinho but failed to impress when he moved to sporting lisbon. zico got the best out of him after a season
Now we can fully focus on the club and more great transfers.
We see the effects right here on this site. By him doing this he reinstates faith within the fan base. Fener fans will say "look he really does care".
This move just buys him some more time, he got some of the fan-base off his back. If you guys think drastic changes are going to happen you're wrong.
Besides, you're a BJK fan..you want no drastic changes to happen.
Last year was a really bad and costly year for Fener, he really cant afford another year like that.
Fener may be top of the league and the europa league, but they have played pretty bad for 80% of their games and maybe their luck is running out.
beczuse fenerbahce never made a good talent other than tuncay literally otyher than semih..all toehr players like volkan demrl, tuncay,,,, wcame from other teams, but it seems like daum is losing his marbles by letting gokcek play instead of ozer! i dont want ozer to play in all games, but at least 2 from 3! with one as sub, ugur played great in the 20 mins or so he featured in yesterday, yet, gokcek plays!!
Alex
Deivid
Lugano
Anelka
Kezman
Deivid
Lugano
Anelka
did not come to revive their careers at Fenerbahce..If you really thought that then has Alex been reviving his career for 5 years? No he came here to play!
Lugano came back to us because there was no other good offers, hes using us and the WC as a stepping stone to move to a bigger club in the summer
and aziz can learn a lesson from Frank Rijkaard:
"We must not blame the referee, we must look at ourselves"
we've been playing unattractive football, the players don't look like they give two shits about the club and i was hoping GS would win today so we moved down to 3rd place, we really didn't deserve 1st spot let alone 2nd.
-----------------------------------------------------------
--------------------Lugano------Önder-------------------
-----Gökhan----------------------------------Armero-----
--------------------Baroni-------Emre-------------------
-------M. Topuz-----------------------------Tuncay------
------------------------------Alex (K)------------------
--------------------------------------------------------
----------------Semih Sentürk---------------------------
I don't think he ever really wanted to leave either, i think he just wanted to get the best offer from Fener he could. He used the italian team as a means to push his price up at Fener.
I think Alex did the same not so long ago when he was talking about wanting to move back home. Its just a means to add pressure onto the club to get more money. Deivid did the same thing after the CL run. The bad thing about it all is when they have a bad year they dont take a pay cut. We are paying Deivid astronomical wages and hes not even a sub these days.
Saying that though, Alex's after tax wages are more likely higher then most brazilians on the national team.
