With the winter transfer window fast approaching, new names are being linked with moves to Kadıköy's Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium. According to the latest reports in the Italian media, AS Roma's right back Cicinho could soon become a Yellow Canary. 29-year-old Cicinho has previously played for Brazilian giants São Paulo and La Liga superstars Real Madrid. Could Fenerbahçe be his next destination?
The latest name to be linked with a transfer move to Fenerbahçe is Cícero João de Césare, more commonly known as Cicinho. According to reports in Italian television and internet network Tiscali, the Yellow Canaries have now targeted the AS Roma defender.
Tiscali reports that 29-year-old Cicinho is not favoured by AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri and is expected to be loaded off somewhere else in the upcoming transfer window. The Italian media states that Fenerbahçe is a concrete possibility for the Brazilian right back.
Turkish newspaper Fotomaç have also picked up the Tiscali report, adding that Fenerbahçe have already presented an offer to the Serie A side and that Yellow Canaries administrators will be conducting negotiations with AS Roma Director of Football Bruno Conti next week.
29-year-old Cicinho had previously played for Brazilian giants São Paulo and La Liga superstars Real Madrid, before arriving to AS Roma in 2007 for a reported transfer fee of €11 million. After a busy first two seasons with the Serie A side, Cicinho lost his first-team spot with the arrival of coach Claudio Ranieri. Cicinho has 15 caps for the Brazilian national side and is currently reported to be worth €4 million.
