Greek Club Olympiakos Working on Deal For Deivid de Souza

It appears that Deivid de Souza and Zico may be reuniting once more.  A report Wednesday states that Olympiakos are working on a deal to bring the versatile footballer to Greece.  Former Fenerbahçe coach Zico now heads the team, and he's reportedly had his eye on Deivid since leaving Istanbul.

Turkish newspaper Vatan is reporting today that Olympiakos are working on a deal to bring Deivid to Greece.  The report says the two sides have talked and are actively pursuing an agreement.

Deivid was one of Fenerbahçe's stars during their magnificent UEFA Champions League run in Zico's last season with the team.  He has since fallen out of favour with new management and has been rumoured in a number of deals, including one recently with Brazilian side Cruzeiro.  Zico has been interested in reuniting with Deivid, and was reportedly attempting to bring him to Russia when he coached CSKA Moscow.

Fenerbahçe acquired Deivid for 4.5 million Euros prior to the 2006-2007 season.  He recently signed a new deal with Fener that pays him 2.1 million Euros per season.  Deivid is under contract with the Canaries through 2012.

no i dont want olympiakos to get him, i want a mid table turkish team to do so... he will improve the greek lig and olympiakos, affecting the rankings, i dont want greece to improve
Temirov123 • 19:24 • December 16, 2009
He should go. It's for his own good!!
perlomental • 19:32 • December 16, 2009
yes he should, but to another turkish team:
because:
he will improve the greek lig, greek lig is very close to turkish lig, so if olympiakos go to a good place in the cl, and panathinaikos in the el,
they may get points and go ahead of turkey.. meaning that they might get a third el spot, and turkey only 2

WirSINDFenerbahce • 20:51 • December 16, 2009
i don't know if he would be the best player in Greece. What about Karagounis, Leto, Ninis, Giberto, and Cisse from Pana or Galletti, Dudu, and Leonardo from Olypiacos?

emre is 50 times better then what deivid will ever be.
alex_hurmaci10 • 23:38 • December 16, 2009
but polat at least give him some praise for breaking a turkish record in the champions league
polat10 • 00:03 • December 17, 2009
that guy will never get a praise from me, just another stupid brazilian added to our squad. i will say he did great in 07-08 but that was it, other then that he was horrible.

this player should be banned from fenerbahce. ill respect him as a person, not a player.

"AND BY THE WAY WirSINDFenerbahce DJIBRIL CISSE PLAYS FOR OLYMPIAKOS'S RIVALS PANATHIAKOS "

I know, I said: "What about Karagounis, Leto, Ninis, Gilberto, and Cisse from Pana or:
Galletti, Dudu, and Leonardo from Olypiacos?"
WirSINDFenerbahce • 00:11 • December 17, 2009
Polat10: I do hate the fact people just hype players that are Brazilian reagardless if they are good or not. Not all Brazilians play out of this world football! It's wishie washie wheather they adapt to foreign cultures or not.
