Two more weeks left before the transfer season kicks off and the rumours are truly heating up. The latest name to be added onto Fenerbahçe's wishlist is 26-year-old Cameroonian midfielder Somen Tchoyi, currently playing for Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.

According to reports in Wednesday's editions of Milliyet and Habertürk, Fenerbahçe has shortlisted Tchoyi for the winter transfer window. Rumours are that Yellow Canaries assistant coach Roland Koch has already watched Somen Tchoyi play and has given the go-ahead for his transfer.

26-year-old Somen Tchoyi boasts as a tall central midfielder (1.90 m, 6 ft 3) who can play both defensive and offensive football. Tchoyi joined Red Bull Salzburg in 2008 and has so far scored two goals for the Austrian side in their UEFA Europa League campaign. The Cameroonian international is contracted with Red Bull Salzburg until 2011 and reportedly has a price tag of €3 million.

no, striker +centre back
bilica and onder are not enough to be next to lugano, maybe bilica is playing good against twente, but he is a risky defender, he will be bad against liverpool and juventus.... when we face these teams in the europa league

Man, this guy has the most amazing physique I've seen! He used to play in Norway for years, amazing strength, skills and speed. Check out his goal against Lazio (?) in matchweek 5. He's actually done a lot of those over the years. Pure class!

Edit: The third goal in this video is the one I was talking about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8QEj3cA9Ks

Bilica reminds me of Jaap Stam at Man. United. He was shaky for the first few months, then he became a brick wall and one of the best center backs in the world. I'm not saying Bilica is world class, but he's risen to be a superb defender after his unimpressive first few games.

macho-morten you have to be joking.
macho-morten • 01:40 • December 17, 2009
About Bilica or Tchoyi? No matter which, I'm not.
vivalavida • 14:32 • December 17, 2009
then obviously you know nothing about football if you rate bilica and compare him to the likes of jaap stam.
macho-morten • 16:30 • December 17, 2009
Read my post again, man. I compare his style and development to Stam, not his abilities.
vivalavida • 02:01 • December 18, 2009
yeah his style and development of Stam - it's still not true

he's been terrible since he's arrived.
