No Change For Türkiye in Latest FIFA World Rankings

The latest FIFA World Rankings are out, and very little has changed as the teams head into a World Cup year.  The top eleven all remained the same, while one African team made the biggest jump of the top 50.  Türkiye's Milli Takım, still without a coach, made no movement in the latest rankings.

The most recent FIFA World Rankings were released this week as the world prepares for next year's 2010 World Cup in South Africa.  The top eleven teams all remained the same, with Spain, Brazil, Netherlands, Italy, and Portugal comprising the top five.  Germany, England, France, Argentina, and Croatia round out the top ten, with all ten teams in the same spot as last month's rankings.

The Turkish National Team remained at number 41 - no change from their previous ranking.  They received 728 votes, just one behind Northern Ireland at number 40.  They are seven points ahead of Sweden at number 42.

The Milli Takım has been without a coach since the resignation of Fatih Terim.  Terim failed to guide the squad to World Cup qualification despite their prolific success in last summer's European championships.  Guus Hiddink is rumoured to be the next coach of the team, but current coach of Russia denied accepting the position just last week.

Egypt made the biggest jump in the top 50, moving five spots up to number 24.  The biggest drop was made by Romania, who slipped four spots to number 36.
