Fenerbahçe manager Christoph Daum and Vice-President Ali Koç commented on Friday's UEFA Europa League draw results. The Yellow Canaries have been drawn with French side LOSC Lille Métropole in the Round of 32; if successful, they will play against the winners of the Liverpool vs. Unirea Urcizeni tie in the Round of 16. "Lille is a strong contender to win the French Championship; however, we are also Fenerbahçe," commented Christoph Daum. 

Christoph Daum: "In my opinion, playing the first leg away shouldn't be considered as an advantage or a disadvantage. After all, you're going to play at home or away in the second leg. Lille is a strong contender to win the French Championship; however we are also Fenerbahçe. We first need to eliminate Lille, before thinking about the next round."

Ali Koç: "We could have had a better draw than this. This season, we won all of our three away games in European competitions and we finished our group with fifteen out of a maximum eighteen points. This really is a considerable success. Both Lille and Liverpool, who will be our potential opponents in the next round if we eliminate Lille, are from two of the Top 5 leagues in Europe. However I believe that we will be doing our best and that we will be continuing our way in the UEFA Europa League."
