Fenerbahçe's Deivid de Souza & Dani Güiza Going Nowhere

The Yellow Canaries issued a double statement on the club's official website this weekend, rejecting reports that attacking players Deivid de Souza and Dani Güiza were soon on their way out of the club. Rumours were that Deivid would complete a move to Greek side Olympiakos and that Güiza was put on the transfer list. The club management stated that both players were to remain in the team squad.

On Saturday afternoon, the Fenerbahçe management issued a double statement on the club's official website and rejected recent reports in the Turkish press which had stated that Deivid de Souza and Dani Güiza would soon be on their way out of the Şükrü Saracoğlu.

Reports in Saturday's edition of Milliyet and on Lig TV stated that Fenerbahçe attacking midfielder Deivid de Souza had shook hands with former coach Arthur Zico and would soon complete a transfer move to Greek side Olympiakos. These articles were the latest in a string of reports rumouring the connection between Deivid and Olympiakos ever since Zico's appointment at the Athens based club in mid September.

Meanwhile, a report in Saturday's edition of Vatan also rumoured that Dani Güiza was put on the transfer list with a price tag of €14 million. The Spanish archer was brought to Kadıköy in July 2008 for the same amount of money.

The Yellow Canaries administration issued two statements on Saturday, rejecting both reports. The club management stated that both reports were false and asked the supporters to ignore them. Fenerbahçe have made it clear that both Dani Güiza and Deivid de Souza are important members of the squad.

Great...2 valuable players...regardless of the opinions of some of the people here.

deivid is useless anyways so whatever

Deivid should leave, mostly for his sake. No point keeping a foreign player that Daum thinks is surplus to the squad.

^
Obviously Daum disagrees with you...because here we are and Deivid is still here.
alperfener1 • 09:10 • December 27, 2009
No it's not that obvious mate. Aziz Yildirim and the board issued those statments, not Daum. Daum would feature Deivid in more games if he was seen as an important player.

my feelings about deivid is for him it would be good for a fresh start, however, i feel that he still has the ability to be successful for us.

Deivid has been injured. You can't comment on how Daum feels because we don't know him personally. Deivid has been going through a horrible period through his career that no footballer should ever face. Deivid will rise back to glory.

some of you forget that Deivid went through hell at one point in his career, he broke his ankle and on top of that his mother died and he still came back and scored a goal on his return. i hope he does leave fb because he does not deserve all this shit he gets.

He is useless, end of story.

he arrives at fenerbahce as some what of a suprise transfer off of a few mediocure seasons but with a an impressive career scoring record... He comes to the club, and from yonetim and fan pressure doesn't see much playing time... gets treated so unfairly, even when he gets his first real chance versus manisaspor (while they were topping the table) and scores a hat trick to lead Fenerbahce to a 3-2 victory. Later in the season he heads in an appiah cross to win us the championship, the fans still don't value his role on the team.

The next season Deivid kicks off the season in UNREAL form versus bjk in the super cup, he was playing like a man possessed... keeps this performance up all season, scoring some of the most important goals in our clubs history, the beauty against inter, cska, sevilla, and of course chelsea...

This summer Deivid losses the one person that stuck by him, and never doubted his play EVER, and shot down his critics (Zico), after he suffers the worst injury of his life, resulting in surgery... to top this disaster preseason off, Deivid losses his mother days after surgery, his surgery was so severe he couldn't even make his moms funeral in Brazil.

Not one bad word came out of Deivid's mouth when the fans would boo him for no apparent reason, he'd never get down on himself when the idiotic Turkish media would take stabs at him, he was a professional ever since he arrived at this club, and his heart and love for this team and sport was so obvious in this game... The players around should take a look at Deivid's reaction and understand what love for this team really is, and what it means to care...

Deivid is a symbol of success at this club, END OF.
