LOSC Lille Métropole striker Robert Vittek has joined Turkcell Süper Lig side MKE Ankaragücü on a five-month loan. The French club announced the loan deal of the 27-year-old Slovakian international forward on the last night of the winter transfer window. Meanwhile, over the weekend, the Mastiffs beat RC Lens 1-0 in their local derby.
Fenerbahçe's UEFA Europa League opponents LOSC Lille Métropole have loaned Slovakian forward Robert Vittek to Turkcell Süper Lig side MKE Ankaragücü. Lille announced the last minute loan deal on Monday evening. Fenerbahçe now has one less name to worry about as Vittek had been a vital part of Lille's Europa campaign, netting three goals in the French side's eight fixtures so far in the competition.
27-year-old Slovakian goal scorer Robert Vittek is the eighth and final addition to French coach Roger Lemerre's side during the mid-season transfer window. The capital side have also boosted their squad by loaning veteran players like Nijtap Geremi (from Newcastle United) and Jerome Rothen (from Paris Saint-Germain).
Meanwhile, LOSC hosted local rivals RC Lens at the Stadium Lille Métropole on Saturday night. Rudi Garcia was thankful that the African Nations Cup was over and that Aurélien Chedjou and Gervinho were back in his starting eleven. The club also presented Portuguese defender Ricardo Costa to the press before the kick-off against Lens.
Lille maintained their third-placed spot in the French Ligue 1 thanks to a 23rd minute tap in by Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard. The 19-year-old dynamo scored the only goal of the game, taking his side to a 1-0 win over RC Lens. LOSC now has two fixtures in the French Championship, before they take on Fenerbahçe at the Stadium Lille Métropole on Thursday, February 18th.
