Fenerbahçe manager Christoph Daum spoke to the press after his team's 3-0 win over Bursaspor on Thursday night and stated that despite the pleasing victory, due to Uğur Boral's unfortunate injury it was a terrible night. Daum further revealed that his left winger will be absent in the remainder of the season. "Bursaspor will be giving it their all in the second leg," said Daum, stressing that next week's return match will be difficult.

Despite his side's 3-0 victory over Bursaspor in the Ziraat Turkish Cup Quarter-Final first leg match, Yellow Canaries coach Christoph Daum was unhappy after the final whistle. "This hasn't been a good night for us at all, because we just received some terrible news," Daum replied to the TRT reporter when asked about Fener's 'good night'.

"We're very sorry to hear that Uğur has torn his knee ligaments and that he probably won't be able to play in the rest of the season," revealed the German coach. Shortly after Daum's post-match interview, the club management confirmed Uğur Boral's injury status.

Christoph Daum then continued by stating that next week's return match in Bursa will be very difficult. "Today we played the first-half of a 180-minute game. We won and we've gotten ourselves a very good advantage, but the second-half of the 180-minutes will be very tough," said the Fenerbahçe manager. "Bursa will be giving it their all in the second leg," said Daum.

When asked about the unsuitable pitch conditions at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, Daum accepted that it was a disadvantage for them. The German coach stated that the stadium personnel were doing their best to take care of the pitch. "Despite these conditions, we scored three goals," said Christoph Daum. "Plus, we played against a tough opponent. So I think we did our best," he added.

Daum was also asked to comment about Fenerbahçe's rising performance in the second half of the season. The German coach replied by stating that they had also performed at high standards in some of the games in the first half of the season. "But we are working hard. The team is getting used to their rhythm and things are gradually getting better," he answered.

Yeah neither do I. I reckon it'll finish a draw. He has to say this in respect for Bursa I guess.

Really tough to see Ugur out :( He was one of our top players and we're going to miss him, especially in this tough schedule.

i hope ugur will be able to play in only a month, cz every time he gets injured he recovers really really fast, neither santos, ozer or gokcek will be able to fill his absence
