Dutch manager Guus Hiddink will be presented to the media as the next Milli Takım head coach in a press conference in Istanbul next Monday. TFF President Mahmut Özgener will also sit alongside the Dutch coach in Monday's press conference. The main subject of course will be whether Guus Hiddink is going to lead Ivory Coast at this summer's World Cup finals.
The Turkish Football Federation has announced that a press conference is going to be held on Monday to present Guus Hiddink to the media as the next Milli Takım head coach. The Dutch coach will be arriving to Istanbul on the same day, Monday, March 15th.
TFF President Mahmut Özgener will also sit together with Guus Hiddink in Monday's press conference. The main question will be when exactly the Dutch coach will take reins as Milli Takım boss. The Turkish Football Federation had previously announced that Guus Hiddink's contract with Turkey will start in August 2010.
Speculations that Guus Hiddink is going to lead Ivory Coast at the World Cup finals have been going on for quite a while now. Despite reports of an agreement in the Dutch and Turkish press, Ivory Coast Football Federation President Jacques Anouma stated on Thursday, "No contract has yet been signed with any manager."
Another question in minds is whether Dutch coach Guus Hiddink will be taking part in Milli Takım's USA tour in May. All questions will be answered in Monday's press conference in Istanbul.
