Daum: "We Want to End The Season With Three Trophies"

Fenerbahçe manager Christoph Daum spoke to FB TV's Fatih Demirkol in this week's Technical Analysis show and stated that despite experiencing psychological problems and injuries, his players had fought well against Antalyaspor. "Our targets are now clear. We want to win the Gençlerbirliği game and move a step closer to our goal of winning the Turkcell Süper Lig championship," said Christoph Daum.

Yellow Canaries coach Christoph Daum took part in this week's Technical Analysis show and revealed his targets for the end of the season. "We started off the season by reaching our first target, which was winning the TFF Super Cup," explained the German coach.

"Now we have two more trophies to lift," added Daum. "We want to become Turkcell Süper Lig champions and also take the Ziraat Turkish Cup trophy back to our club museum," continued the Fenerbahçe manager. "So our target is to end the season with three trophies," stated Christoph Daum.

Daum mentioned that despite experiencing psychological problems and battling with injuries, his players had fought well against Antalyaspor. "The Antalyaspor game helped us determine our direction," said the German coach. "Our targets are now clear. We want to win the Gençlerbirliği game and move a step closer to our goal of winning the Turkcell Süper Lig championship," stated the Fener manager.

The German coach mentioned that despite playing good football in February, his players weren't able to get good results which put the team in a bad position. Daum said the technical staff was working hard to motivate the squad and that they were constantly having meetings with the players.

Yellow Canaries manager Christoph Daum also added that they always had the full support of Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım and Board Members. The German coach lastly ruled out any problems with Sporting Director Aykut Kocaman, stating, "We're working together in a very disciplined manner and in great harmony. We're constantly asking one another's opinion and discussing our ideas," Daum said.

man i really hope we sell guiza nowww.. he is the reason why weren't scoreing..
Brazilian • 17:15 • March 11, 2010
hahaha imposible! nice 1 daum!!! guiza is exactly why we arnt scoring! we need a power horse striker like ADRIANO players who can score blind.. but first we need a top class manager!
Mert_FB1907 • 17:30 • March 11, 2010
I really want to belive that we will win the Lig, but honestly i do not think that we will if we keep on going like this because Guiza isnt a Fenerbahce calibre striker....we need a striker who can score goals all the time go watch Luis Fabiano or Diego Forlan or even Juan Manuel Vargas from Fiorentina he is exactly what Fenerbahce needs. We need a striker who can score in the most difficult positions... not miss 1 on 1 goal oppurtunities with the goalie. I like Guiza but Fenerbahce isnt his team he needs to downgrade.
polat10 • 17:30 • March 11, 2010
He means the turkish super kupa for the 3rd cup.
Mert_FB1907 • 17:39 • March 11, 2010
And another thing about Guiza is that hes such a heavy striker as in he is very slow when he is about to score. A striker is supposed to be very fast and versatile but Guiza is always slow and lifeless, he has no moves whatsoever.

with bilica in defense we're not winning the superlig
serdar_tasci • 19:13 • March 11, 2010
At the end of the season i think, i do this if i were in Daum's shoes:

Sell:
Daniel Guiza
Onder Turaci
Selcuk Sahin
Deniz Baris
Ali Bilgin
Deivid De Souza
Gurhan Gursoy
Mert Fehmi Gunok
Gokhan Unal
Fabio Bilica
Semih Senturk
Alex De Souza

Buy:
Serdar Tasci
Alex Da Costa
Sinan Bolat
Ozan Ipek
Volkan Sen
Sercan Yildirim
Obafemi Martins
Lukas Podolski
Stefan Keibling

Yes I know but we need a new tactic like everyone keep says you know semih is a poor striker just like guiza they both lack at scoring which is why they both must go.

The Fenerbahce Line-up 2010-2011 Season:

..........................Volkan...............................
..................Lugano.........Alex..........................
....Gokhan.....................................A.Santos..........
....................Emre............C.Baroni........................
.........................Topuz/Ozer................................
.........Keibling.........Martins..........Podolski................

Subs:
Sinan Bolat
Bekir Irtegun
Serdar Tasci
Volkan Sen
Ozan Ipek
Sercan Yildirim
Kazim Kazim
Ugur Boral

That is exactly what we need three explosive strikers who are recognised all over the globe to play for us also we have emre and cristian to really good central mids topuz and ozer who can play one game each and we have two amazing central defenders alex and lugano who are really strong in the air also we have two for back up bekir and serdar also we have three amazing explosive Turks, Volkan Sen, Sercan and Ozan Ipek who are just trully star turks for the future also kazim is a really strong striker who can play when the others are injured.
PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WirSINDFenerbahce • 20:34 • March 11, 2010
I like the idea of Kiessling, I don't no about Podolski though. Juan Manuel Vargas would be a good signing, I'd put him on the left mid like Prandelli was doing against Bayern.
bjkdeniz • 22:28 • March 11, 2010
Are you guys playing Football Manager or something?
Kozak • 22:30 • March 11, 2010
There is no way we're selling that many players.

1.It is too risky. If we sell all those players there is NO guarantee that we can replace them. The players you listed may not want to come and then we'll have to settle for crap guys just so we can register a team.

2.It will affect team harmony. Believe it or not, footballers are real people with friends and family. Some of our footballers might be close family and selling them could cause disruption in our team.

3.Sinan, Serdard, Volkan, Ozan and Sercan will not come to Fenerbahce if they're going to be benched! They beat us! They have every right to believe they are better then Fenerbahce and should start.
ergin • 22:36 • March 11, 2010
What makes people think that we can simply transfer players like Vargas and Martins to Fenerbahce? Look at bjkdeniz's comment, because I think he's right... you guys must be playing Fifa or PES or something.

Transfers are a two way street, and EVEN if the money was right for those players (which we don't have) what makes you think they want to leave their families/current lives and come play in Turkey?? It's not always about money people!!! Sure some players are willing to make the move, but most are not, since the TSL's standards are lower than England, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, etc.

Temirov123 • 23:46 • March 11, 2010
damnit!
JayJayOkocha • 14:30 • March 12, 2010
Guys, no offence but you should really learn our mother language.

Our players refuse to play in the US because the US recognizes the so called "Armenian genocide" I'm proud of our players.

I hate when the topic comes up to discussion.
