Fenerbahçe striker Gökhan Ünal spoke to reporters after Saturday's Gençlerbirliği draw and commented that his header that hit the post in the 80th minute was very "unfortunate". The 27-year-old goalscorer also spoke about the shoulder injury he picked up during the game stating, "I can't raise my arm, but maybe it's just a bruise. If we had won the game, my injury wouldn't have mattered so much."
Yellow Canaries forward Gökhan Ünal picked up a shoulder injury during last night's Gençlerbirliği match. The 27-year-old striker spoke to reporters straight after the final whistle and mentioned that he would be undergoing some medical tests upon the team's return to Istanbul.
"I can't raise my arm, but maybe it's just a bruise. If we had won the game, my injury wouldn't have mattered so much," commented Gökhan Ünal. "We wanted to win so badly, but it wasn't meant to be," stated the Fenerbahçe striker. "Now, there's nothing else to do but wait for our opponents to lose points," he added.
Gökhan also commented about his 80th minute header that hit the post. "I don't know whether it hit the post just because it bounced back from the ground," he said. "I imagined it would find the target, but it was very unfortunate," commented Gökhan Ünal. "Sometimes it just doesn't happen," he added.
"We hadn't played together with Mehmet Topuz in two or three years and normally you can't expect it to be the same as it was in Kayseri," he replied when asked about his performance together with his former partner in crime, Mehmet Topuz. "However, I expect it will be a lot better in time," added the Fenerbahçe forward.
Lastly Gökhan Ünal was asked to comment about getting a starting position in the lineup. "Actually, I was expecting to start on the right wing instead of the lone striker position," he replied. "Ultimately, this is a team game. Nobody would have said anything if Güiza or Semih played," said Gökhan. "Today I did, but maybe next week I'll be sitting on the bench. This is Fenerbahçe and it doesn't matter who plays," he added.

I wish Ugur wasn't injured :( He would've kept us going and ripped these small teams apart with his speed and strength and new found finishing.
