The Yellow Canaries commemorated the National Sovereignity and Children's Day with a photo of Atatürk and a celebratory message that were posted on the entrance page of the club's official website. We too, here at Fenerbahçe Worldwide pay respect to our great founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and commemorate this day dedicated to children all around the world.
Today, Turkey celebrates its National Sovereignity and Children's Day. Although Fenerbahçe will be training later this afternoon, it's a national holiday meaning that schools are out and everyone in the country is paying homage to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
On 23rd April 1920, after opening the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Mustafa Kemal dedicated the day to the children of Turkey - the future of the new nation - and to children all around the world. UNICEF has also recognized the importance of this day and has endorsed it as the International Children's Day.
Fenerbahçe commemorated Turkey's National Sovereignity and Children's Day with a photo of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in class with children, teaching the future of the new founded Turkish Republic.
As Fenerbahçe Worldwide, we too would like to respectfully remember the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and commemorate this day that he dedicated to children all around the world.
