Fenerbahçe Worldwide Executive Editor Mehmet Pozam was a special guest Thursday on BBC World Service Radio's 'Europe Today' program. Pozam, along with panelists from Italy and France, represented Turkey in a discussion regarding the upcoming Euro 2016 host announcement. Down to the afore-mentioned three countries, the official announcement will be made Friday in Geneva, Switzerland.
Mehmet Pozam, Executive Editor of Fenerbahçe Worldwide, was invited to participate on Thursday's edition of 'Europe Today,' a BBC radio program focusing on current topics around Europe. Pozam presented the arguments in favor of Turkey hosting their first European championship. The country is one of three finalists to host Euro 2016, the most prestigious European football tournament.
Pozam presented the case for Turkey, as well as took questions from a moderator regarding why Turkey should host the event, rather than France or Italy. Both of those two countries have hosted the event multiple times, although Turkey has yet to do so.
The official announcement will be made Friday at 14:00 Turkish time (7 AM EST in the U.S.) from Geneva, Switzerland. Turkish President Abdullah Gül is in Switzerland for Friday's announcement, along with Turkish Football Federation President Mahmut Özgener.
Thursday's program was heard around the world, where BBC World Service reaches an average of 188 million listeners per week. It was the third media appearance in less than two weeks for Pozam and Fenerbahçe Worldwide, coming after a Turkish television appearance and a Norwegian newspaper article just last week.

You made the best argument Mehmet. I kinda feel like the interviewer was kind of trying to put Turkey down a bit.
