Fenerbahçe Continues Preparation for Gençlerbirliği

Fenerbahçe was back on the pitch Wednesday afternoon to continue preparation for this weekend's Turkcell Süper Lig opponent.  Gençlerbirliği comes to town hoping to gain at least a point to assure themselves of a spot in Turkish futbol's top flight for next season.

The team met at 17:00 this afternoon and trained for approximately an hour and 45 minutes at the Samandıra Training Facilities.  Volkan Demirel, Diego Lugano, and Deniz Barış all sat out due to injuries.  After sitting out yesterday's practice with leg pain, striker Semih Şentürk was back on the training pitch today.

A large group of children from the Ayça Special Education Rehabilitation Center were on hand to watch the team practice.  After today's practice, the players met with the kids to exchange gifts and visit with them.  The team will practice again on Thursday afternoon at 17:00 at Samandıra.
