Fenerbahçe continued vital preparation for Sunday's match against Gençlerbirliği Thursday afternoon. With five injured players already out, two key footballers had to leave practice early with injury concerns on Thursday.
Fenerbahçe began Thursday's training at 17:10 local time in Istanbul. The team practiced for approximately an hour and a half at Samandıra. Injured footballers Volkan Demirel, Diego Lugano, and Deniz Barış all trained separately from the team inside of the club facilities. However, defender Gökhan Gönül and striker Semih Şentürk both had to leave Thursday's training early. Both stars complained of knee pain during the session.
The team also had Tümer Metin on hand to help out. The Canary footballer has been on loan to Greek side Larissa FC since January.
Fenerbahçe will continue its training on Friday afternoon at Samandıra. The club announced that the training will be closed to media.
