Türkiye Drops Two Spots in Latest FIFA World Ranking

With less than a month to go before the Euro 2008 Championships, the Turkish National Team slipped two spots in the latest rankings. FIFA has Türkiye ranked at #25, down from #23 in the April rankings.
Türkiye received 856 points, tied with Russia at #25. They finished only one point behind Paraguay at #24, and five points behind Sweden at #23. The top fifteen remained exactly the same from April, with Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Spain, and Germany comprising the top five. Among the top fifty, no team gained or lost more than two spots in the rankings.
Türkiye opens Euro 2008 play on June 7 against Portugal. The Portugese team, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, is currently ranked 9th in the latest FIFA ranking.
